REx-PN

What is the REx-PN™?

The Regulatory Exam – Practical Nurse (REx-PN™) is an entry-to-practice exam for those applying to become a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in British Columbia.

What will the REx-PN test?

The exam will focus on testing entry-level competencies that are essential to providing safe care at the beginning of an RPN career. The REx-PN will not test all competencies that are taught during a Practical Nurse program, which was also the case for past exams.

Program Overview

The REx-PN Preparation Program was designed for Canadian nursing school graduates and nurses from other countries who wish to become a registered Practical Nurse (PN) in Canada. Following the completion of this preparation program, students will be more prepared to take the REx-PN Examination. Each year we help many students pass their PN exam.
